Every Lima Positioner is built in our plant in Lima, OH USA.
- 02
We have, and continue to build our positioners for other companies that are sold through distribution. If you have a machine that looks like ours, it was designed and built right here. These machines can all be serviced by us.

It depends on your process and workpiece diameter. Every Lima model and speed range option CAN be turned all the way down to zero, but the speed range options represent the most stable operating range as a result of different motor and gearing combinations. Basically, if you run under the stated range of your positioner, rotation will become less stable as you approach zero RPM.
Here is an equation that might help:
Welding travel speed / Part circumference = RPM
Example:
3" diameter tube welded at 10 IPM
3.14 x 3 = 9.42" Circumference
10 IPM/ 9.42" C = 1.06 RPM
